I got a similar optical, wireless mouse from Maplins a few weeks
ago. It's a Labtech. It does have a bright light under it.
The receiver is about the size of a pen drive with a swing-up
aerial (about 1" long) and plugs into a spare USB port. The
mouse does not go to sleep like normal cordless mice but the
receiver plugs into its underside and switches it off. If I want
to leave the receiver plugged into the computer, a standard 8mm
thick pencil eraser will also fit the hole in the mouse.
The only disadvantage I've found so far is that it needs a mouse
mat. If I use the plain grey melamine desk top, it tends to get
lost and jump about slightly. Apart from that, it works well
with the Iyonix.
