Try setting the MonitorType to 4 (VGA) and Mode to 28, as this may produce
timing your monitor likes better. If not abort the boot sequence by pressing
escape, then adjust your monitor to display the predesk screen correctly. It
should then remember for next time, but not affect your desktop mode.
