If Escape is hit it will boot up but with Iconbar module unplugged
(there is now an RMreinit obey file in the boot sequence).
That shouldn't be necessary, either something is unplugging it each time, or
the CMOS memory is corrupt.
How do I 'uncorrupt' the CMOS memory? Delete power on?
in theory yes.. but ---
the quickest way is
*fx 162,239,0 (at the F12 command line)
which corrupts the cmos checksum, then a reboot, which loads the default
cmos settings
John
*RMReinit the module, double check with that its not in the list shown by
*unplug Then reboot pressing escape so the boot sequence isn't run, if the
module is now unplugged it means the CMOS memory is fault. If it isn't
unplugged at this point, but it is after booting normally, you have a rogue
file which is unplugging it in your boot sequence, find it and remove.
Cheers
