IIRC correctly John Ballance has said that if the PSU output drops slightly it is not the voltage drop itself that is the problem (It will still be within +-5% tolerance) but that indicates the 'characteristics'[1] of the PSU has changed and will probably cause problems. Speculating here but it could be outputting more ripple etc. Having said the above, Changing an Iyonix PCs PSU is not the panacea for all ills!
