tried both - makes no difference but I am now using router address.

Hermes  "Fails to resolve host" (pop.orprpheus.co.
Quit and restart - no change - it still "Fails to resolve host"
Start, quit, start NetSurf, then Hermes works.

Firefox works first time after boot.
Then NetSurf works if it is run after Firefox.
