Well, armed with that information, I would either take my machine to the
shop and try the device first or have an arrangement where it could be
returned. Without that information, I could get caught out by buying a
bargain second one, by thinking they are all the same.

Sorry, I cant see why all of the results you mention couldn't be listed,
maybe an extra field or two could be added if necessary.
A device could be ticked as working AND not working if the reason is
given in the notes. I dont want to complain any, as someone has to
contribute time to maintain such a list.
Another area which could be documented is Harddrives and their
characteristics on the Iyonix. I have been getting indications that
harddrives/partitions may be affecting the booting and rebooting but it
is just a theory at the moment. Other things worth knowing about would
be ide-sata adapters, noise levels and the frequency of the annoying
head aligning/surface checking or whatever it is they do every 5-15
mins. If I could go back to a small drive without sacrificing speed I
would.
