My system is identical to yours apart from Geminus and I have
WindowManager 5.00 (23 Feb 2006)
!Style doesn't like modes with 16 million colours; it occasionally
causes strange coloured effects.
When attempting to duplicate your error I get (with 1280x1024 screen
modes of 16 million colours, 32000 colours or 256 colours) a
full-screen window of overall yellow colour appearing. It disappears
with the next (left) mouse-click and the desired style has been
implemented but the menu has closed.
Fix? No idea!
