[iyonix-support] Hopeless USB performance

I'm trying to copy 900 files totalling 900MB on to a pair of micro SD
cards. These aren't the fastest of flash devices, but the Iyonix is
ridiculously slow writing to them via a USB 2.0 card reader.

So far its taken over 4 hours to copy less than 4000 files, at a
maximum rate of around one every two seconds. It looks like the
overhead of writing to the DOS FAT and directory is more of a factor
than the size of file, which is average of 1MB but varies between a
couple of 10s of K upwards.

By comparison, I paused the RISC OS copy, mounted the source directory
on NFS using Moonfish, attached over the wireless network from my
ultra low spec EEE PC 701, put the other card into its built in SD
slot, and copied the entire lot in under 20 minutes (which included
waiting for me to notice a dialog box which came up).

Cheers
---Dave
