I have RISC OS 5.13 and one of the newer graphics cards in my machine.
I use a Samsung 206BW 20" widescreen LCD (1680 x 1050). I share the
monitor via a Rextron USB KVM with a Vista PC and a Windows 2003
server, both of which will not start up in the correct resolution if
they are not selected on the KVM by the crucial point in the start-up
sequence. They fall back to the maximum supported resolution of the
KVM, giving a fuzzy output on the monitor, and usually the correct
resolution cannot be selected without a restart.
Because of this I bought a new KVM that switches DVI outputs (as well
as USB and audio - independently) instead of VGA and has a higher
maximum resolution. Is there any news of progress on the DVI output
for the Iyonix graphics card? Related to this, is there any news on
the changes required for Linux to support the later graphics cards
under 5.12/5.13 yet?
Grahame.
