Firstly will the disc still be recognised as HardDisc4 after formatting? If not, how do I give it that identity?
That is the default name used by Hform, unless you choose to change it.
Secondly, I guess there will be no problem using ShareFS to do the transfer, but, to set my mind at rest, will that also require the disc to have the identity HardDisc4?
If you share it using the drive menu, it will use the name of the disc. If you share via the *command, you can use any name you like.
Finally, I am not clear whether, after re-formatting, I will have to use *Opt 4 to ensure that !Boot is run on start-up. If this is the case what is the syntax? Would it be *Opt 4 2 HardDisc4
The command is obsolete if booting directly to the desktop, but *Opt 4 2 Is sufficient in most cases. Cheers -- David J. Ruck email: druck@xxxxxxxxxxxx phone: +44(0)7974 108301 ---To alter your preferences or leave the group, visit //www.freelists.org/list/iyonix-support
