Yes, it all went to pieces in less than five minutes. First some strange
disc errors - which should have told me something, I suppose - then a
freeze and a reboot that didn't seem to work, another one that did, a
failed attempt to run Verify and DiscKnight and then total lockup.
Switched off, waited a couple of seconds, switched on again. Nothing.
RIP PSU. And I could swear the RiscPC was laughing. :-)

I wonder what it did to the hard disc. Can't remember if I tried to save
anything to it while things were in the process of going pear shaped.
Don't believe I did.

A similar one? Also a HEC, I mean? Then you'd better watch out when it
reaches four/five years of age (see Steve Fryatt's message). ;-)
