Hi,
the TrekStore hard disk which I just bought comes with a "Y connection cable",
and in the manual Trekstore "urgently advises" users to plug both plugs into
two adjacent USB sockets on the PC, because otherwise there might be an
insufficient power supply.
Luckily, just one plug seems two be enough - at least all those backed up files
that I randomly clicked on are o.k.
This is lucky because TWO plugs definitely don't work; if I plug them into the
two sockets on the front of my Iyonix, the disk starts making periodic high
pitched chirping noises which can't be healthy for it, so I broke the
connection after a few seconds.
Is there a difference between Castle's hardware USB implementation and that
which you find on a PC?
Regards,
Jochen
