I used to have problems remembering which of my drives was the reader and
which was the writer, so I wrote a quick bit of software to modify the icon
of the writer on the iconbar. It works whichever way round you set the
cables, as it bases it on the drive name not it's number. It's called
!ShowCDRW (originally!), and can be downloaded from
