[iyonix-support] Boot stopped at sysctl message

Today, booting 5.13 stopped repeatedly with the error box:

   Error from Desktop
   'sysctl : unknown oid 'net.inet.udp.checksum''
   Boot from floppy | Cancel | Retry

No recovery from this was possible. The only way to get a desktop was 
to hit Escape during the earliest part of the boot sequence, whereupon 
a mode 28 screen appeared with msot functionality intact, though 
clicking on !Boot to check configuration would only give "You cannot 
configure this machine". And I think the internet functionality was 
missing.

Miraculously, things started normally after about the twentieth cycle, 
but I'm worried about a recurrence since I have no idea what could 
have caused the errors.

Has anyone any advice on this sort of problem?
