The standard Filer->Delete dialogue is equally effective, but 
permanent: the point of having a wastebin is to be able to recover 
from unintended or mistaken deletes, surely? Can you really say you've 
/never/ wished you hadn't deleted a file or directory at some point 
afterwards? I can't.
