Last time I saw it was quite a long time ago when connecting a
640(?) MB MO-drive.
There are very few random access devices around today that are
based on 2048 bytes/sector "block" sizes - but a notable exception is
CD-like media. Think of DVD-RAM and BD-RE.
So a generic filecore solution would be really appreciated. I
never had a look at the filecore sources to judge the difficulty,
but I presume it is similarly frightening asm stuff that I have
seen elsewhere...
