[iyonix-support] AudioIn buffering

I've got simultaneous audio input and output going -
but not well enough for the application. AudioIn seems
determined to buffer about a second of audio. If I "draw
down" to less, it stops providing audio until it has built
up a second again. The application I have requires real
time performance, so buffering of this order is not viable.
Is it possible to configure or to modify AudioIn to stop
this behaviour and allow me to take out audio as soon as
it's available?
(Although I'm talking about AudioIn, I don't know whether
AudioIn or DeviceFS - or something else - is responsible.)
