[iyonix-support] Audio crashing caused by Parmesan?

Hi everyone,
I was playing some MP3s yesterday (first time ever I do this on my Iyonix), and
each time someone wrote to me on Parmesan the audio crashed taking down the
system with it. Putting Parmesan in quiet mode solved the problem, but this is
hardly a solution since I do not get any warning if someone is writing to me
and the screen saver is active!
I'm using AMPlayer (1.39, unofficial 32-bit one) and DigitalCD on the AC97
native chip (I've never got the Soundblaster 220 I have to work - it does not
hang or anything but no sound is ever produced except when I replace the module
- a second or so of white noise comes out of it).
Has anyone seen this problem? Is there any cure?
Thanks!
BR,
Gonzalo
