Thanks for the reminder.  :-)   The minute I read that, it all came
flooding back. Not.  :-(

It was ages ago: where did I pick up the tip to include the line:
Ifconfig ek0 mtu 1458                    
in ADFS::HardDisc4.$.!Boot.Choices.Internet.User ?

I can't remember coming up with that all by myself.
