Its different physically, the motherboard end is an edge connector.

I haven't looked at the code, but it may well need ObjAsm rather than ASM.
Assemble with ObjAsm -ABSolute and link with Link -bin  to produce a binary
directly

If you put 32bit assembler in, you get 32bit code out in absolute mode,
if producing objects specify -apcs 3/32 to generate the correct header
for the linker.
