A month back the original disc, five years old, was getting sicker and
sicker so I replaced it and have had no more problems with the disc.

I have changed the cable and the port used on the ethernet switch.  All
other machines on the network work at all times, the RPC internet
server, the Mac Mini, VARPC on the Mac and the distaff IBM-compatible
PC.  My conclusion is that it is definitely a Iyonix problem.

I wonder what the problem might be on the Iyonix and if the power supply
might be wavering a bit or if it is the Ethernet port on the
motherboard.  I do not have a digital voltmeter to check the power
supply.  Any thoughts anyone?

(Written on the hastily fully configured Mac VARPC and giving it a good
bit of beta testing.)
