A utility called Speedfan on the dark side will provide this info if the
pc mobo has the right chippery. I found this even present on a fairly old
Aries box from our 'old friends' Watford Leccy with a 'plenty hum' 4.

The best thing is that http://www.almico.com/speedfan.php
will quieten noisy pc blowers. Not something near-silent Myonix suffers
from, though access to the info from even the hard drives (one is
failing) would be useful. Can we get at SMART info somehow, if the drives
provide it?
