Ciao a tutti, volevo segnalarvi un paio di appuntamenti internazionali.

Come ogni anno il 22 Marzo sarà la Giornata Mondiale dell?Acqua. Il tema del 
2009 sono le risorse idriche transfrontaliere, cioè tutti quei fiumi, laghi e 
acquiferi che attraversano più stati (questione molto spinosa soprattutto in 
certe aree del pianeta). Per avere un?idea vi riporto quanto scritto nella

Sarebbe bello se anche a Genova, magari anche all?interno dell?Università, 
venisse organizzato qualcosa per mantenere un minimo di attenzione su questi 
temi.

?This year on World Water Day, we call attention to the waters that cross 
borders and link us together.
The world?s 263 transboundary lake and river basins include the territory of 
145 countries and cover nearly half of the Earth?s land surface. Great 
reservoirs of freshwater also move silently below our borders in underground 
aquifers.
With every country seeking to satisfy its water needs from limited water 
resources, some foresee a future filled with conflict. But history shows that 
cooperation, not conflict, is the most common response to transboundary water 
management issues.
Over the last 60 years there have been more than 300 international water 
agreements and only 37 cases of reported violence between states over water. We 
need to continue to nurture the opportunities for cooperation that 
transboundary water management can provide.
We share the responsibility for managing the world?s transboundary waters for 
current and future generations.
Whether we live upstream or downstream, we are all in the same boat.?


Il secondo evento che vi segnalo è la settimana europea per l?energia 
sostenibile che inizierà lunedì prossimo. Tra i vari eventi verranno anche 
assegnati dei premi a iniziative lodevoli intraprese all?interno dei Paesi 
comunitari in questo campo (Sustainable Energy Europe Awards 2008/2009) e fa 
piacere leggere che tra le nominations ve ne siano anche di italiani (o legati 
all?Italia in qualche modo). La speranza è che non rimangano validi esperimenti 
limitati nello spazio e nel tempo (e nei finanziamenti) ma che possano 
diventare pratica comune. Ve li elenco qui di seguito (potrei dimenticarne

Per finire, ho scoperto che in Francia esiste l?associazione Elettricisti Senza 
Frontiere, che sviluppa molti progetti per portare l?elettricità a ospedali, 
scuole, pozzi, ecc nei Paesi in via di sviluppo. Se ho capito bene funziona 
come ISF Italia attualmente, cioè è una rete di nodi regionali, senza una 
struttura centrale (ma potrei sbagliarmi?).
