RE: what caused DNS to die

Yes, I have. Interestingly enough, I was having similar issues PRE-SP1 that     
I applied a hotfix to and that seemed to  fix it...that is, up untill i 
installed SP1.. then it came  back. 
Of course , since the issue is as intermittent as it is, SP1 may have had 
nothing to do with the recurrance.
