Hi Mark,

I wrote a whole slew of Win2k courses for www.digitalthink.com and one
of them was on Win2k network design.

Out-of-band links allow you to manage the network outside of the
"normal" network paths. For example, place a modem on a RAS server that
can only be used for administrative purposes. This is important for
administrative fault tolerance. If you only link to the network goes
down, that is bad. But with an out-of-band connection, you can get in
and fix things.

Hi Mark,

You should take my DigitalThink online course on Win2k Network Design. I
talk about "out of band" solutions to this sort of problem :-)

Hi,

Got a problem, I lost connection to my off site network tonight
(cable went down, go figure)
But now if I try to terminal service in to the firewall (not with the
web client), it tells me that
"the max. number of connections has been reached". Is there anyway to
reset all the connections remotely ?

I just don't feel like driving out to the site to reset the terminal
services manager.

Thanks in advance

Mark
