Well, now I've gone and done it. I set up a vpn connection while TS into the firewall. to cut right to the case - another drive will be required to fix a possible misconfiguration. It seems I can not TS into the firewall, cannot receive mall from my domain, DNS server doesn't server any longer. Any thoughts on what I might have done ? Debi and I did almost all of their Win2k courses. From what we're told, people really like them. They are based on the MOC, but DigitalThink got a deal with MS that allowed us to enhance the MOC content to make the material a bit more "accessible" for both experienced and less experienced audiences. It was a record 38C here , so you need the air conditioning. This course you had mentioned, is it for real ? And online ? I sure wouldn't mind some added education on these kinda subjects. regards, Mark. BTW, did you ever get anywhere with that exchange conferencing server ? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Thomas W. What you might try to do is install the Terminal Service Manager on your computer, and then VPN into the network. Then you can logoff the connections. In this case I would suspect I should be going out for a bit of a drive :) Regards, Mark ----- Original Message ----- From: "Thomas W. Out-of-band links allow you to manage the network outside of the "normal" network paths. For example, place a modem on a RAS server that can only be used for administrative purposes. This is important for administrative fault tolerance. If you only link to the network goes down, that is bad. But with an out-of-band connection, you can get in and fix things. I talk about "out of band" solutions to this sort of problem :-) HTH, Tom www.isaserver.org/shinder -----Original Message----- From: Mark Strangways [mailto:strangconst@xxxxxxxx] Sent: Tuesday, August 07, 2001 9:37 PM To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] offtopic - terminal services http://www.ISAserver.org Hi, Got a problem, I lost connection to my off site network tonight (cable went down, go figure) But now if I try to terminal service in to the firewall (not with the web client), it tells me that "the max. number of connections has been reached". Is there anyway to reset all the connections remotely ? I just don't feel like driving out to the site to reset the terminal services manager.
