Also use group policy to enable "Prohibit access to the Control Panel"
so your users can not access the firewall client through control panel

You can push a script using group policy to modify the registry for your
selected computers

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Firewall Client\

Can you not right mouse click upon the Firewall Connectivity Monitor
located in the System Tray and select "Hide when connected"?
