That sounds logical on the surface, but it's a little like asking Ford to keep track of the updates to the Clarion radios they buy for their trucks. As far as NT4, you'll notice that the Code Red vulnerability patch came in two flavors; W2K and NT4. It stands to reason that the hotfix checker would too.
