hotfix check utility

I used HFCHECK Hotfix Check Script 1.00 from MS to check patches on all W2K
IIS 5.0 servers. Some of the ES servers running Datacenter on them and I got
the patch from the Vendor. But when I run the utility on them it doesn't
show the latest patch applied on them. Is it because the patch is from OEM.
Well I thought atleast it should recognize it as its the same OS from MS.
Secondly the patch is not for NT4.0 OS so how do you check on these servers.
