there is a reason.. when i did the autoconfig script, the clients were
DOGSLOW to get thru the ISA box
when i did it just as a webproxy, it was really quick.
just answering the user complaints :)

Hi Michael,

You've committed a venal sin of ISA firewall configuration and it's
almost enough to get your ISA firewall stripes pulled off of you!

1. You've used a single label name for the firewall name
2. You're not using the autoconfiguration script

tsk, tsk!

Are the machines configured as Web proxy clients?

If so, how EXACTLY are they configured to be Web proxy clients?

                Michael,

"IE can't find the search page" Error is specified for
cannot reach DNS...

Check on one of the KIDS machine that you can find the
DNS correctly and can resolve any name

and then try to resolve proxy server name from this
machine...

I think it's not matter of proxy problem

                Best Regards

all the students are part of a proxy users
group. the proxy users group has a grant all rule.
one other school is working.. but the main
school isnt, and i cant figure out why
IE first pops up and says it cant find the
search page, then we get the 502 error.

when I logon to the box, it works, when a
student does, it breaks. when a teacher logs on , it works.

Its looks like there is a Deny rule is not being
matched or an allow rule is missing for the group members for the
students.
