Hi Ara,

You should really research the Exchange stuff out on MSDN. I've seen
this issue

When a machine is AD and Exchange on the same machine. And has been
addressed

In a few KB articles.

Yes they are both global catalog and also can see each other. I can't
even logging to exchange as it takes forever saying applying computer
settings. Using remote management tool I can see that system attendant
service is trying to start with no luck and also information store
System attendant

Exchange 2003 ent and server 2003 , domain policy is highsecdc and also
I have raised the level to 2003 only

I would tend to disagree with having your dns look at each other rather
than themselves.

Are they both Global Catalogs?

Can you ping either server by fqdn from either server?

Are they both in the same network?

Hello everyone

I would appreciate any help or direction on this. I am getting even id
4004 errors on my domain and exchange information store won't mount.
Looking around I have found a site saying that this happens if you have
two domain controllers and wrong dns settings.

My settings at the moment are

DC1

First dns pointing to itself

Second dns pointing to DC2

DC2

First dns pointing to itself

Second dns pointing to DC1

According to that link, I have to change it in a way that they first
look at each other then them selves. Is this correct? Imean in that
case, then

DC1

First dns pointing to DC2

Second dns pointing to itself

DC2

First dns pointing to DC1

Second dns pointing to itself

Thank you for response
