Hi Dave Yes I think it is a relay 550 problem - tried teh setup on a basic Outlook Express client and that seems to be the probme! Ok, where in ISA do you tell it to be a OWA Server? I can do it internal, and I am pretty sure I had it up and running a few months back, but cannot recall how its done Simon Weaver Technical Consultant MCSE+Internet / MCSE Windows 2000 Integrated Solutions Corp. I might be mistaken but it sound like it might be a relay configuration at the exchange server. Could you send more specific errors. I should point out what I am trying to do, in case I am doing something wrong..... I am going out of the country for a week, and wanted to access my Email on my IPAQ 3970. I tried to establish a VPN connection on my IPAQ adn then use IMAP, but I keep getting a message that it has timed out a response to the Server. I got IMAP working from the Internet, and can now see my Emails, but it appears they are not being sent! When I configured IMAP on outlook express from a PC dialed up to the Internet, it complains about not being allowed to relay! So that could well be the problem! I installed ISA FP1 and there is meant to be an option to configure OWA from here - but can I find the option?? NSLOOKUP also works fine :o) You mentioned about SSL - Any ideas or links on the best way to set this up? I would be happy using OWA if need be! although the screen would be a little limited in size! I was just going to say to check your Exchange server. You do have the option in IMAPI4 service to change from Basic Authentication to NTLM. Right-mouse click Default IMAP4, click Properties, then click Access tab, and click Authentication... button. If basic authentication is fine, start thinking about using SSL for it. On the ISA server do you have under Site and Content Rules - SMTP Outbound rule? It should have been created by your Mail Secure Wizard to allow your exchange to send outbound messages. Also, verify that your Exchange can resolve external FQDN, (example - nslookup www.isaserver.org <http://www.isaserver.org/> ) -----Original Message----- From: Simon Weaver [mailto:Simon.Weaver@xxxxxxxx] Sent: Friday, June 20, 2003 6:35 PM To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] RE: enable IMAP from Web http://www.ISAserver.org Dave Ok, I got IMAP working - I had to enable it in Exchange 2k! I can only seem to get it working on basic authentication which is not good, but I done a test and it worked fine. The only problem I could see is that it would not allow me to send out Emails - Does anyone know what SMTP address can be used?
