I've had the opposite problem most of my life, but my real politician wife is teaching me the merits of tempered responses :-) You can install a DHCP server and a DNS server on the firewall. However, a caching only DNS server is the best choice. If you need DNS for internal network resolution, then put that internal DNS on a separate machine. It's a small network, therefore DHCP is not a necessity. I believe things run better with a local DNS server, right ? I don't want to have a ton of extras running, but I like DHCP and DNS for sure..
