What is the "proxy client"?

Web proxy? -- requires no installation
Winsock proxy? -- requires installation, but isn't called "the proxy client"
it's called the Firewall client so as to confirm that the ISA Firewall is a
Firewall and a more secure firewall than a pix packet filter.

Also, is the client a 64bit OS? Is the ISA firewall a 64bit OS?
Is there a 64bit Web proxy client? A 64bit Firewall client?

In what permutation does something fail here?
