RE: Web Listener Problem - Repost

I can go through the whole process, including creating/choosing the
listener, but the web site is not published properly (can't get to it).
When I looked at the web listener and chose the option to listen to a
specific IP address, the list was empty. I have no idea if this is causing
the problem, but it seemed likely that there would be a connection.

That's probably because you don't specify what Networks a Web Listener
monitor when publishing a web site, you have to do that when creating a Web
Listener. For one that you've already created, go to the Firewall Policy
section, on the right pane, Toolbox->Network Objects->Web Listeners->Your
Listener, and modify the properties of that, you can choose what Network(s)
you want that listener to use.

Is that what you were looking for?

I think for my problem I need to know how ISA 2004 decides which IP address
to listen on when creating a web listener. That is really my problem. The
IP addresses are definitely set up on the NIC, but they don't show up when
trying to publish a web site.

Thanks.

As I understand it, any IP address that is NOT in the range associated with
any of your Internal networks is considered External, and gets routed as
such.

I sent the message below yesterday but got no response, so I thought I would
try again! Does anyone know how ISA 2004 decides which NIC is external? Is
there some way to "refresh" the addresses that ISA "thinks" are available?
I have outbound web access, so some things are working, but I can't publish
a web site. (It works fine in my Virtual Server instance, so I'm pretty
sure I am doing it right.)

Thanks.

In trying to publish a web site in my new ISA 2004 installation, I noticed
that when I try to tell it to use specified IP addresses on the ISA server,
there are none in the list to pick from. I went back to my trial
installation running in Virtual Server, and the single external IP address
does, in fact, show up there. The web site does not get published, so I'm
wondering if these might be related.
