I saw this on a site where the remote site had and ADSL Dlink router and
the users behind the router would try to connect to headoffice. Only one
user at a time could connect, once a second user connected, the first
one dropped out. I called Dlink tech support but they were not able to
help. I replaced the router with another brand (Netopia) and had the
router do the VPN. I found out after replacing the router that Dlink
are aware of the issue and have an upgrade to the firmware for their
router.

Subject: [isalist] VPN works but only for one user at a time?!?!
http://www.ISAserver.org
If have ISA at main office config'd to accept VPN connections. It and
RRAS SEEM to be setup correctly. Verified by reading thru this article
(http://www.isaserver.org/pages/article.asp?id=232). Any user from
remote office can VPN in and work...but only one at a time. When the
second user VPNs in he can work for a few minutes but then mysteriously
loses the connection. I turned on Max Logging and see entries saying the
disconnected user was disconneted by his request. <(EXCERPT FORM
EventVwr)The user SECG\foti connected on port VPN4-8 on 09/26/2002 at
07:26pm and disconnected on 09/26/2002 at 07:28pm. The user was active
for 2 minutes 5 seconds. 94900 bytes were sent and 94582 bytes were
received. The port speed was 10000000. The reason for disconnecting was
user request.>
How can I troubleshoot this further?
Thanks inadvance.
