VPN Gateway Issues

I have a persistent connection between Michigan and Florida, both running
ISA/RRAS on 2k. The connection works fine normally, but every once in a
while (maybe every 1-2 days or so) the connection disappears while RRAS
still thinks it exists (shows Connected even after repeated refreshes). I
look at the IPconfig and I see I even still have a IP address on the other
network. However, I cannot ping a host on the external network. If I
disconnect the connection and leave it alone, it will eventually reconnect
and everything is fine again. I've been pinging it on schedule to make sure
it wasn't some strange activity timeout on the DSL connection down there,
but that hasn't made a difference. The only thing in the event log is when
I disconnect it, where it says what the statistics were for that connection
(how long, how much, etc.) and then says the disconnection was triggered by
me (which it was).

Anyone seen anything like this or have any suggestions? Thanks!
