Windows time uses dest port UDP-123, not TCP-139. TCP-139 is a NetBIOS port. Make sure you have a protocol rule (internal host) or packet filter (ISA itself) allowing a path from UDP-<any> to UDP-123. Apparently (unless I misread) Net time requires a PDC to sync FROM, as I do not have a PDC is there a way I can sync my local server clock to a NTP server in the external world. I have been trying w32 time service but it seems to want to sync using USNO as a PDC. It is trying to connect on TCP 139, which likely isn't going to be meet with any great enthusiasm on the US Navy's part :-) Thanks, Mark ------------------------------------------------------ List Archives: http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=isalist ISA Server Newsletter: http://www.isaserver.org/pages/newsletter.asp ISA Server FAQ: http://www.isaserver.org/pages/larticle.asp?type=FAQ ------------------------------------------------------ Other Internet Software Marketing Sites: Leading Network Software Directory: http://www.serverfiles.com No.1 Exchange Server Resource Site: http://www.msexchange.org Windows Security Resource Site: http://www.windowsecurity.com/ Network Security Library: http://www.secinf.net/ Windows 2000/NT Fax Solutions: http://www.ntfaxfaq.com ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this ISAserver.org Discussion List as: jim@xxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send a blank email to $subst('Email.Unsub')
