The ones that outlook uses. Watch the live logging & take it from there.

Any help?

Steve,
What protocols would you recommend to be opened from the Internal network to
the External apart from HTTP/HTTPS for everything to be safe on the Internal
network?

Thanks,

Tee

Any help?

Jerry,

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you and Thank you again.

For some reason, I forgot to configure the Internal DNS Server to Forwarder and
the Open All. Once I did that after reading what you stated, guess what, all my
emails started coming in.

Thanks to all for your help.

Anyway, I love TMG. Long live TMG and the new features for Exchange Server

This is most likely a DNS issue.

Try opening a command prompt on your client and use the following command:

nslookup <verizon mail server>

Where <verizon mail server> is the FQDN of the box.

Also check to make sure you're not inadvertently blocking DNS (TCP/UDP 53)
traffic out through your firewall.

All,
I am currently using Outlook 2007 for my Verizon.net email which uses
POP3/SMTP for incoming and outgoing mails respectfully . I recently installed
and configured Forefront TMG 2010 firewall on my network. Web Access Rule has
been configured and all machines on my home network can get on the Internet
fine. I have confirmed that the POP3 and SMTP settings are correct. They've
been working fine before I installed the TMG 2010.

I used to have ISA 2006 and I remember that when I first configured it on my
network, I didn't have to configure anything thing with the exception of the
Web Access rule for my Verizon email in Outlook to work out fine.

Now the problem is when I tried to send email from Outlook 2007, I receive the
error:

Error message - Sending' reported error (0x800CCC0D) : 'Cannot find the e-mail
server. Verify the server information in your account properties"

Now I cannot send and cannot receive any e-mails.

I have verified the e-mail server with Verizon support. I have even created
another access rule for POP3 & SMTP from the External network to the Internal
network and this thing is still not working.

Any help will be appreciated very much.

Thanks,

Tee
