Fine; let's clarify it for you, then:
"ISA does not support multiple connections to the Internet".

The fact that you can create a special routing circumstance between
distant entities via the same "service provider" does NOT fall into the
"multiple Internet connection" category.

None of the ISA marketing spew even remotely hinted at being able to use
multiple Internet connections.
"External" networks (if you actually read the documentation that shipped
with ISA) refers to "non-protected networks".

I think you hit the nail on the head, it's a matter of semantics, if
they claim it is capable of multiple ISPs, then people would expect the
whole package, load-balancing, fail-over, etc. to be included.

So, instead, they refer to it as multiple external networks, which takes
the pressure off.

Hi Jim,

True 'nuf. In general, when they refer to multiple ISPs, they actually
mean they want multiple "default" gateways and then implement some sort
or policy based routing, or bandwidth balancing, or bandwidth
aggregation or link failover or all of the above (usually they want it
for free too) :-)
