Re: Restrict apps for FW Client?

I have read the article you suggested and have just one more question.

Can I essentially create an MSPCLNT.INI file that has the following
content (apart from the [COMMON] section etc):

[Common Configuration]
NameResolution=L
Disable=1
[outlook]
Disable=0

In other words, I remove ALL applications that have been added via the
ISA MMC, and add a Generic rule for the FW Client NOT to allow ANY
application, except OUTLOOK, to make use of the FW Client.

The thing is, I have tried this and it doesn't seem to work (I.e. my MSN
Messenger still works etc). Do you have any ideas on this for me please?

Hi there

I want to deply the Firewall Client, but I want to be able to exact
STRICT
control over which applications are permitted to use the FW Client's
seamless connectivity features. In other words, I don't want every
single
little application installed on a user's workstation to start using the
direct access to the Internet.

Now I know that I can play with the Firewall Client Configuration
settings
on my ISA Server, but what I don;t know is what all the possible
Application Keys mean, and also how to use them.

Would someone perhaps have any adive on this for me, please?
