Examine the "Users" tab in your policy rules.
If a rule uses "all users", regardless what else it may contain, it's anonymous.

Examine the "Web Proxy" tab in the Network configuration.
If the authentication is configured for "Require all users to authenticate"
then no anonymous traffic will be allowed by the web proxy.

..of course, your settings need to be appropriate to your organizational,
security and business requirements.

I do not think so. I was left this by my predecessor with no documentation.

I found an article for ISA server 2000 on how to set that, but of course the
console changed in 2004, sp2 and I cannot find where I should set that nor can
I find an updated article.

Where would I set that?

ISA reports are kinda dumb this way.
Are you authenticating your web traffic at all?

Subject: [isalist] Reporting Bandwidth

Hi!

I'm new to ISA server 2004 so I apologize in advanced for any dumb questions.
When I run a Report under Top Users the user using up the most network traffic
is "unknown" Same for top web traffic.

I've done searches on how to identify what/who this is but no luck. Has anyone
seen this before and can point me in a direction where I can figure out who
this is? Pulling my hair out over here!

Thanks in advanced!
