Just had to do it... *grin*

 

Screw hardware / software / firmware.  Pick the best solution for the task that 
fits your budget.  If you have no budget then try poking around for an Open 
Source solution.  There are lots of Open Source firewalls, routers and proxy 
servers.  And you may even accidentally learn something along the way.

One option we have used is a Radware Linkproof.  It is an enterprise grade, 
bomb proof solution.  Radware was very easy to work with.

I understand from EMC, the current owners of RainInfinity products, announced 
an EOL for RainConnect and RainWall  -- Dec 07.  What's the alternative to
