RE: RES: SMTP Message Screener

You may be hitting that message screener bug I posted a few weeks ago - the 
message screener completely ignores any message coming into the system if it is 
sent from an outside Exchange/Outlook client.  So don't tear your hair out on 
this one too much - it's a bug, and we reported it to Microsoft support but 
have heard nothing.  Try sending a message from a standard POP3 client or 
whatever... hotmail, for instance.  You'll see that it meets the rules of the 
screener and is successfully deleted.  However, send the same email from an 
outside Exchange/Outlook setup and the message will get through.

I read your message and I thing that ISA was made to delete the message with an 
.exe attached, and don't to delete the attachment...
Now I made a rule that delete the e-mail for a .xxx attachment. If you want, 
test me... I thing that I will not receive your message...

Hi Tom and Jim,
            Happy Holidays, glad to see you guys are spending quality time at 
home.  I'm make an attempt to configure the SMTP Message Screener and walked 
through your book CH9 pg 587-594.  Mail is being sent and receieved but testing 
the screener to delete an attachement (.exe) fails.  Did I miss anything?
