Does the ftp server function correctly from within your network?

One way is to create 2 packet filters

1. Inbound Fixed TCP Port 21
2. Outbound Fixed TCP Port 20

Subject: [isalist] Internal FTP server publishing

http://www.ISAserver.org

Hi,

I am trying to publish an internal ftp server using a server publishg rule
but it doesn't work...

My internal FTP server is only a secure nat client with default gateway
pointing to internal IP of ISA...

The ISA server is listening on port 21 (netstat -> ok...)

When an external host try to connect via ftp command line, the
autentication works ok, but the data port 20 doesn't work...(nothing in
ISA logs...). I also used FTPExplorer in port and passive mode, and
nothing...

Can everyone help me???

Tks,
Pedro Miguel
