Tiago,

I have been running live 2 days (still in lab, learning time) with ISA and
GFI. I sub to about 15 different email lists on Yahoo groups and MSN and
sunbelt etc. I have received about 700 emails 4 virus stopped and 9
quarantined items. None made to boxes.

Brad

My setup is also gateway mode. I guess the problem may arise when your gateway
"goes live" ;)

let me know if you run into the same problem!

Tiago

        Tiago,

Not yet, I have it setup on the exchange box in gateway mode, not vs
api mode. I have been hit with some bugs but they have been deleted, never
made it to mailboxes. I just have not been notified that they were stopped, my
fault in setup...

Nothing special, Bradley. Just allow Inbound and outbound SMTP
connections to your ISA Box and GFI should do its trick!

By the way, I'm having trouble making GFI deleting virus mails when it
receives them. It always lets some viruses reach my user's mailboxes. Have you
seen this problem?

        Tom,

I have published exchange on the ISA box, and I know that I need to
setup SMTP as a relay in IIS, but what specific rules do I need to add
        to ISA for GFI?

        Hi Brad,

You'll need to make the ISA firewall an inbound SMTP relay for your
        Exchange Server.

I have the ample amount of time to learn ISA before having to manage it,
unlike I am sure most of you. I have several machines running and on my
ISA box I want to install GFI Mail Security (Gateway). I have exchange
2003 up and running on a separate machine and have the mail flowing.
What publishing rules do I need to have in place before GFI is enabled?
Will it be like exchange as it is a mail server?

        Thanks

        Brad Mitchell
