Re: Publish Two Exchange Server

Hi Qusai,

It was one of the articles that discussed configuring the ISA firewall
as a filtering SMTP relay. There are two of them, but I don't recall
which one.

The key is to install an SMTP relay on the ISA firewall, then configure
remote domains on the SMTP relay for domains under your administrative
control. Then for each remote domain, configure a different Smart Host
to forward to. This allows a single IP address on the external interface
of the ISA firewall to accept mail for multiple SMTP servers on the
internal network.

HTH,
Tom

Hi Qusai,

There's a nice trick in the ISA Server 2000 Exchange 2000/2003
deployment kit that shows you how to run an SMTP relay on the ISA
firewall and allow you to receive mail for multiple domains with a
single IP address on the external interface of the ISA firewall.

HTH,
Tom

Thanks Jim
Can I make the existing exchange server route the emails to the second
mail server without publishing, like for example I have now domain1.com
and domain2.com on one exchange server and I want to shift domain1.com
to separate exchange server .. can I make the first exchange server
route the mails to the second exchange ( domain1.com )

Qusai

Yes; a new IP and server publishing rule are required.
Make sure the new Exch server is SecureNAT to the ISA or much pain will
ensue...

Hello Jim
Thanks for your reply
Now I am hosting all my 3 company mail server in one exchange server
with one IP address this is fine and all the are pointing to one IP
address, one of these domain need to shift it to a separate server so I
need to put extra IP address on the ISA server and change the pointing
IP in the network solution for the new one for this domain ..

Kind regards

Qusai

Not if you're server-publishing.
You need one IP per Exch server for that.
