Re: Proxy vs. Firewall routing

Where are the two WST apps running?
Are they both behind ISA?

Hi,

I've been trying the Winsock tool and this is what i get when i try do
connect to the external IP:

in the client:
Winsock: Connecting
Winsock: Connection completed
Winsock: Connected

in the server:
Winsock: Listening
Winsock: Accepting TCP connection from 192.168.2.250:1505 to 192.168.2.11:23
Winsock Error: 10053
* Description: Connection is aborted due to timeout or other failure
* Scode: 0x800A2745
Winsock: Closed

In the server, the connection came from the original client internal IP,
shouldn't the ISA have changed this IP ?

Hi,

I'm having some trouble understand how does ISA do the routing.

The question is:

if i can, from the inside net, browse a web site pointing to a external IP
of a published web site, why can't i telnet to the same IP of a published
telnet server?

Outside users can access both servers.

thank for your help
