Or do you mean I should disable or remove the SMTP application filter? ________________________________ From: Marvin Cummings [mailto:marvin.cummings@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Sunday, May 02, 2004 5:49 PM To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] RE: Problem creating SMTP Server Publishing Rule http://www.ISAserver.org Thanks Socket pooling has been disabled, I don't have any SMTP packet filters in place and the SMTP service is listening on the internal interface of the firewall. The only server publishing rule I have is the Mail wizard rule which is pointing to an IP on the external interface of the ISA server and listening on the internal IP of the mail server. This rule is using the SMTP protocol. Will disabling this one effect incoming mail flow or am I in left field? Make sure that socket pooling is disabled for the SMTP service too. Also, make sure the SMTP service is listening on the Internal interface of the ISA firewall. Not "all IP addresses". I configure this rule with the following settings: IP Address of internal interface of the ISA server. IP on external interface of ISA server that handles mail. Apply rule to SMTP server Apply rule to Any request I notice that there is already a Mail wizard rule in place, but it lists the IP of the internal mail server and not the internal interface of the ISA server. I've followed the steps as outlined in part 1 of this article so what could I be missing here?
