RE: Ports

Anything running a service you would consider to be exploitable. ie
Terminal services. Imagine the consequences of  leaving that open, DNS
is a hug one too, anything that will put at risk your infrastructure.
DNS can bring down any network almost. Toms rule, and I have held to
this for years, is never install these services on you firewall unless
there is no other option. If you really have to protect them well, that
goes for when they are on the internal network or even a dmz.
